This work-embedded program integrates rigorous college coursework with on-the-job learning so that candidates can advance academically while developing the real-world skills needed to support individuals and communities.
Courses consist of a combination of paid, on-the-job learning and Zoom-hosted seminar and instruction, supported by one-on-one advising, workplace mentors, and academic assistance. The program is designed to ensure that working adults can progress toward a degree that carries relevance to their behavioral health roles.
The program will launch in Washington, initially offering Reach University’s existing Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies, with a focus on social science, embedded within a behavioral health apprenticeship that prepares learners for careers as Substance Use Disorder Professionals.
The program is expected, subject to accreditor and state approval, to expand to additional states, stackable degree pathways, and healthcare fields.
